About Shayani Gunasekara

Shayani Gunasekara is an English language educator with over 8 years of teaching experience, including a role at one of Colombo's leading international schools.

She studied at two of Sri Lanka's well-known schools and holds a Diploma, a Bachelor's degree (Hons), and a Master's degree, giving her a strong academic foundation alongside practical teaching expertise.

Shayani has taught learners of all levels, from beginners to advanced students, focusing on building strong English language skills across reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Her approach centers on making learning clear, practical, and accessible.

She founded Express English with the goal of providing quality, affordable English education to learners across Sri Lanka.
